Gala Performance joins BPC Motorsport for the 2024 C1 Season

We're delighted to be unveiling our brand new race partners for the 2024 Silverlake Citroen C1 Challenge season, after we sealed the deal to bring the mechanic team of BPC Motorsport on board to keep a good eye on the wellbeing of our car this year.
Gala Performance Racing will be taking on the 2024 season with strong ambitions of challenging for honours wherever we race, and we feel that the team at BPC has the credentials to put us in a great position to do so.
We began racing back in 2018, joining the popular series in one of its first few years in existence, and during that time we have raced with Rob Gaffney's Amigo Motorsport. Working alongside Amigo, we achieved positive results and had an amazing experience, whether we raced for 3 hours at Croft or during one of the two insane 24hr marathons at Silverstone where we went through THREE engines and still rolled over the line after the 24th hour.
However, we felt that this year we wanted to move in a different direction and explore the series under new guidance, which is where BPC comes in. They bring several years of experience, having achieved multiple Top 3 finishes in the series so far. We think that our driving expertise and their vehicle management skills have all the ingredients for a successful season.
Our Company Director and driver Mark Thompson was enthusiastic about the development for this year, "We came into competitive motorsport six years ago, and all we've known has been working alongside the team at Amigo. We're grateful for everything Rob and his team have done for us, and have made some great friends through our experience with them, including the mechanical team, plus the drivers we've shared a car with over the years. Rhys Lloyd, Max Coates and Mathew Dawson. We'll be keeping an eye out for their performances, and look forward to going head to head with our mates on the track."
